Keeping Up with the Literature |
There are a number of time-saving techniques available to faculty and graduate students to assist in their efforts to monitor research trends in a given field. These techniques include alert services and citation tracking. In addition, the library also provides electronic access to dissertations and theses.

Alert Services
Alert services can automatically notify you of newly published literature in your areas of interest. Citation Tracking & Journal Metrics in ISI Web of Science This guide provides an overview of citation tracking features and journal metrics information in ISI Web of Science, with links to tutorials. Journal Impact Factors This research guide provides information on what journal impact factors are, different factors that influence impact factors, how to find impact factors, and additional readings. Finding Dissertations and Theses This guide takes you through the steps to locate dissertations and theses in various formats at the MSU Library as well as at other institutions. Additional Resources
